Effect of concentration of alcohol on heat of combustion?

Hey guys,

I was wondering whether anyone could help me answer a question for my EEI poster. I am investigating the effect of concentration of methanol, ethanol and propanol on their enthalpy of combustion. What background information is there to back up why the higher conentrations gave off more heat? I'm not sure what to do to back this up. Can anyone help?
Thanks everyone.
