Hey guys, just wondering whether holding a captaincy or leadership position in year 12 really matters in terms of heading into Uni or even getting a job- especially since I was considering entering a medical course at Melbourne U? Thanks loads !!

Yes- during interviews, interviewers ask about your school accomplishments and leadership positions and really take that into consideration

Hey guys,
Just wondering if holding a captaincy or leadership position in Year 12 really matters in terms of heading into Uni or potentially, getting a job- do interviewers take this into serious consideration, especially since I was thinking of heading into a medical- related course at Melbourne U?

Really depends on your individual circumstances, the uni course you're going into or job you're applying for. Some care, some don't. Some uni courses don't have interviews..

From a general uni perspective, I don't think it really matters regarding school leadership unless you're either applying for a scholarship or interviewing for entry.

I think any extra-curricular activity is better than no activity..... just in general.

Again, see first sentence. Perhaps providing some further information (e.g. job/uni course) would help a better personalised answer :)
