What affect does changing the base of a log have on the graph?

Well think of what logs are, and go from there. I suck at LaTex, but I'll try with plain.




If we then try with a base 5, you get the obvious...




So the change in the base of the log is a dilation from the x axis I think. It may be from Y axis.

You can use Desmos online calculator if you want to quickly see how the functions stack up against each other.
