Whats the current situation with my rank?

Hey guys, My biology teacher told me something after class today that has confused me very much. He told me;
"Hey Tadd12345, in terms of SAC averages collectively, you're on top. But (insert name), is higher for unit 3 average."

this is confusing me, because i thought all SACs taken in unit 3 contributed to my unit 3 average. unless he didnt count the experimental design SAC? Am i stuffed? Can someone explain my current predicament to me?

All unit 3 SACs contribute to your unit 3 rank. By experimental design SAC do you mean the poster one? Because that’s a unit 4 SAC regardless of when in the year you do it. If that’s what you meant than it means that you’re rank 2 for unit 3 but better overall (which means you will probably be rank 1 for unit 4 if you keep it up)

different sacs could have larger weightings towards the unit 3 grade.

they look at them separately so someone could be rank 2 for unit 3 and rank 9 for unit 4 for example.
