Green sea turtles used to be my favourite sea turtles ( & I have a nice memory of one swimming up and touching my hand) but I would say that leatherbacks are my favourite now. Leatherbacks are really interesting in that they're the most unique of all sea turtles, and the only turtles not to have scutes (the "shapes" on the shell), instead having ridges.

Ooh, that is so cool! Thanks, mini :)

Alright, it's the 7th! That means this topic officially closes at midnight tonight. Again, feel free to submit any work you have, for any topic; just as long as you're doing it to de-stress, because that's the aim of this exercise.

So, from tomorrow (the 8th of August) till the 22nd of August the main theme is...
man, spoilers are so much funTeh Night-time

Hope everyone's doing okay. Wishing the HSC peeps all the best for your trials! <3

I'm guessing that's directed at me, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I blocked out the main shapes using spheres/ovoids then drew around those to create the head & body, front flippers, and back flippers. Then I dragged those three groups into position with each other, and added features such as the ridges & tail. The texture was mainly a combination of crayon and watercolour tools with varying opacity.

The program I used was 3D paint, but I would've likely used the same method for 2D anyway.

Thank you :)    I don't create any form of art often but it's one of the things I would like to practice more

And thank you as well to Poet both for your kindness and this thread:)
