Is doing VCE Biology, Chemistry and Physics too much?

Hi

I am a year 10 student and I have to choose my VCE subjects next term.
I was just wondering whether doing all 3 science subjects along with Methods, English and potentially Specialist Maths or Geography is a good idea? I know i'm definetly going to do Biology and Chemistry as Chemistry is needed for medicine or science and Biology because it's intersting. I don't know about Physics but I heard it's useful.

Thanks

Hey!

Whether or not its a good idea I think really comes down to the reason you'd pick to do physics, chemistry and biology? With the right mindset, and a bit of hard work, its definitely possible to do all three during VCE, alongside the other subjects you mentioned. Have you considered completing one of them as a 3/4 in Year 11? It'd definitely be an advantage to get one under your belt before Year 12, and would also help reduce the workload in year 12 too.

What are you worried about in regards to studying those three?
In what way do you expect physics to be useful?

I certainly have no regrets about studying the sciences, if that helps at all.

I don't know if I should do Biology 3/4 without 1/2. Is it manageable without 1/2?

I just feel like studying all 3 might be too stressful. I'm not sure. Apparently physics is a part of the medicine or science course at uni i think(could be wrong) so it would be useful to do physics but I don't really enjoy physics.
