do you use the subjuctive after 'il n'y a rien que'? I never knew
melanie.dee:
oui, on utilise le subjonctif avec 'il n'y a rien que', 'il n'y a personne que/qui'

i havnt done any french study since forever ahhhhhh. is everyone just planning on ditching french until after their second last exam (assuming u dont have others in that same week!)
i feel a bit strange having no oral questions to roam about the house practising, talking to myself hahaha. seriously. its bizarre. i wish i had a french person living in my basement or something so i could grab them and talk to them when i wanted hha.
i need to practise writing essays. i always seem to run out of time and not give myself time to correct which i dont want to do. does anyone feel like sharing some of their french essays on here? it'd be nice to get an idea of the standard and we could correct each others and stuff

yep I have been neglecting french too. It's so easy to just push it aside, but then I get a bit worried cos I need to do ok in it. My last one before french is the wednesday, so I have a week to concentrate on it, with 18ths in between, and most likely alot of distractions cos everyone will be finished and going out ahhh.
and i was the same with the oral thing! cos i was in the habit of just talking when I was driving, or home alone, and then I had my oral and I was like hm.. I don't really have an excuse to talk anymore!
with the essay writing, my big prob is stupid grammatical errors that I don't seem to pick up when I proof-read them myself, and then my teacher corrects it and i'm like gar i knew that!
But yeah good idea, maybe we should pick questions and then everybody writes an answer or something. except I think there is only like 4 of us on this forum haha. Although more people seem to come as exams get closer

yeh im scared ill get distracted too, because most of my friends finish about a week before me! and i have 18ths and stuff too.
but must stay focused for french haha. yeh thats a good idea to all do one topic and post them up. my problem is that i make silly mistakes like 'on etais' or i dont put an accent or i do what i do in english and write words stupidly like intereressant haha with some extra stuff in there just because i hurrying and im bad with accuracy when im hurrying (you should see my english essays ahha. i always have endings wrong and stuff like "all of a suddenly" and "it was actual the first time.." hahaha its shocking)
and then i run out of time to go back and fix them! and its stupid stuff that i know is wrong, but iv just written it wrongly. gar!
have to not do that lol. if i lose marks anywhere on that paper, it better be from the listening and notthe other stuff, cos at least its kind of justifies losing them in the listening, seeing as its hard lol. i hate the fact that you hear it twice and then wham finished lol.. whereas other exams, you dont get it the first time, you can leaveit and come back to it. not with listening :(
anyway we dont have many people here do we haha.. oh well theres a few of us. it'd still be a good thing to do with the same question and compare responses
