Recording and listening back as a study technique??
(1/1)
Mada438:
Can anyone clarify how recording yourself speaking some notes and then listening back to them is actually a good study method??
Speaking from someone who only does humanities subjects.
Thanks!

Hey there,
Personally I would view audio study techniques great if you're preparing for speeches, especially if you recorded your own voice. But I do see the benefits of listening to maybe someone reading poetry and playing that on loop so you'll know all your poems.
Hope this helps!
Bri MT:
The process of summarising the information you are recording helps encode the memory due to actively evaluating and thinking about the information. Listening to the recording aids memory simply due to repetition.
