Trying to get my life back on track!

Hello everyone... hopefully others will benefit from this, but I feel I need to share this problem to keep myself accountable... and hopefully I'll gain some motivation along the way!
I have masses of homework at the moment... lots of it major assessments! Groan... :-\ :( I need to get these done... but I also feel like I need to get time to myself every afternoon to get some much-needed exercise... pursue my love of Photography, and just generally have a life aside from schoolwork! I have a very strong weakness (if that makes sense?) for sleeping in the afternoons (after school) and waking up in time for tea etc... then go straight back to bed again! I find that when I get home from school the homework load is such a burden it's easier to just climb on the couch n pretend its not there! ??? I am falling behind on my schoolwork... and although I somehow usually manage to keep my marks at an A or A+... I seem to do all my assessments at the last minute, or the night before it's due... :-\
I am worried that if I keep up these habits it will have consequences on my VCE... year 11/12 work over the next few years!
Thank-you everyone in advance for keeping me accountable over the next few weeks!

Hey! I feel that if you're going to have any hobby in VCE (which imo you probably should)  that excercise is a particularly good one,  with photography not being bad either.

It's great that you've been proactive and recognised how valuable it is to form good habits early - congrats on that :)

I'd suggest breaking your tasks down into smaller chunks and/or adopting the 5 minute rule once you get home - work straight away for 5 minutes and if you don't feel like working after that you can stop. Usually after the 5 minutes you'll find it easier to continue working than if you start straight away telling yourself you have hours of work to do.

Hope this helps,  and look forward to seeing updates!  :)

How's your fieldwork assessment coming along? :)

I'll echo miniturtle's sentiments. Developing good study habits is really important, so kudos for giving this a crack! 💪

Hello again everyone... and thanks for your support!
A few fairly crappy days at school but my homework list seems to be shrinking!🎉🎉
I even managed to find time for some exercise! As for my geography assessment... thanks for asking J41... I've got 6hours 45minutes to get it finished... I've got 3 parts yet to go!! :-\ So it'll be a busy 6 hours! A nothing-much weekend... so hopefully life looks brighter by Monday!! ;)
Thanks again for your support!
