Can you stop your school getting your final Study Score?

I am a mature age student just doing one subject German out of interest - units 3 & 4 and was wondering if you can block VCAA sending your final mark to your school as I want it to be private and just me knowing. I have been doing well with A and A+ in all SACS with a strong cohort as I am at a language school with quite a lot of native speakers and 140 in my class (distance). Doing it through the school has been amazing and you do orals one on one every week with you teacher on the phone or skype. So organised and professional. Anyway I went  a bit off track - can I stop my school knowing my final mark?

Hey nholding,

Glad to hear you've found distance education effective - would love to hear more about this!

Re: the study score reporting, I've personally never heard of this happening, and my gut feeling is schools would always be aware (although you can make your study scores private from wider reporting). I honestly don't know the answer, but I think if nobody here can help, giving VCAA a bell directly would probably be your best bet. :)

Thanks so much. I am only doing German distance through Victorian School of Languages. I a mature age so when I did VCE I did a language at school at a select entry school and now am doing one distance so can compare the two. In my experience I found doing it distance so much better and the course design through VSL is absolutely fantastic. I can only comment on German. I found through distance I had more contact time with my teacher and got to practise oral every week with her on the phone or Skype - you get used to talking on the phone. At school my teacher had no time to spend with us individually doing oral work. The school also has an assistant so I got to ring twice a week and practise. Any homework issues you can email or ask when you next ring. The software program and material they have designed for the course is brilliant and not even comparable to what I got at school. Any questions let me know I am happy to answer.
