Do I have enough time?

I've had a small break from revising and memorising since trials 2 weeks ago. But now that I'm getting back into the swing of things I'm beginning to worry that I'm running out of time! Anyone feel the same way?? What can I do from now until then?

Most important question: do I have enough time???

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm stressing

I am actually in the same boat as you,  except I have been consistently doing something each day even if I choose to take a break...  And I have been through a lot of mental breakdown and mental health issues, and having to see a psychologist every week to get checked up..... The hard truth is the more stressed you get, the more time will be lost...  This is what happened to me throughout the year and I have to pay for it with my poor internal marks altogether....  Right now I am motivating myself to beat everyone in the external exam at the very least, and the atar business and what to do next will be secondary...

Given the time interval between now and the hsc, I reckon pastpapers and reading pastpaper responses are the best way to learn..., and perhaps save as many marks as possible..

Most important question: do I have enough time???

Here's a very simple answer ... YES

Yes you do have enough time! I was literally in the same position as you this time last year, stressing whether or not I had enough time to study for the HSC and this also included completing a portfolio for film school that was due two weeks before my Paper One.

It's completely fine to think you don't have enough time left to study- I think everyone has felt this at one point. Remember that you still have formal, graduation and other school events to get through before HSC. I didn't really officially dug into my HSC studies until a week after graduation (so third week of September for me). Rather than panicking big time, just remember to use this time (leading up to graduation if your school does it before HSC) to recover, catch up on sleep and simply- just relax! Don't overwhelm with doing 100 past papers per night from this point on til HSC. Remember to make a great study schedule (no studying for 10 hours straight does not count!). You gotta take into account exercise, socialising, studying smart (not hard!) and relaxing. It's all about keeping a balanced schedule from this point on.

Good luck! ;D
Which will hold greater rule over you? Your fear or your curiosity?

Yep, definitely enough time!!

Trials I think was a good setup for the HSC because hopefully you learnt how you best study, work and how to deal with time management. If not, that's okay you've still got time. There's just about 5 weeks to go till the HSC and believe it or not, most of your growth in your learning will come in the next 5 weeks! Just take a deep breath and believe in yourself, because deep down you know you are going to smash it come the 18th of October.

Just keep in mind, if I somehow managed to learn the whole economics syllabus in 5 days and still pull a 95 in trials, I think anything is possible!!

Best luck for HSC and the future!! ;D

If there's a will there's a way!! I'm in the same boat as you right now. I took two weeks off just to destress and take a break which is completely necessary so don't at all guilty. There is always time to make a differences whether that be at the start of the year or at the end. At this point in time we have another 5/6 weeks to go before our first exam. Pretty scary I get it, but the reality is that we super close to finishing year 12. The best thing to do right now is buckle down and burn through every single paper you can find!! Hope this helps! Good luck!!

I agree with everthing that's been said, you definitely have time! However I completely understantd the feeling of so much to do, so little time.
There is just under 3 weeks from the end of term to the first HSC exams, I think you will be surprised at how much you can achieve in that time. You survived trials, and you can only improve from here.
I also agree that doing past papers is the best thing to do, and start them as soon as possible. This will highlight your weaknesses, so you can go back and revise those particular areas without wasting time on thing you already know. Also by doing past papers and finding things you don't know (yet!) you can still ask your teachers for clarification before school finishes, and get teachers to mark questions for you.
I think one really important thing is to not burn out before your last exam, so actually limiting the amount of time you study each day is not a bad idea, or factoring in time for relaxation.
Good luck, I'm sure you'll figure it all out!
