HELP!!! IS IT WORTH IT OR NOT?

Hey everyone,
1. I was wondering if the co-op program at unsw was worthwhile doing?
I'm interested in the actuarial stream and I'm scared I wont be able to have a balanced "uni life" with much extra curricular etc.
--> since there are no summer vacations AND i would need to maintain a distinction average for a notoriously difficult degree.
I'm pretty much guaranteed a spot without co-op since my atar estimate is 99+ and i have a fair chance at co-op because I undertook alot of high calibre leadership roles and extra curricular stuff.
2. What is the employment success rate for co-op scholars???
Is a co-op scholar and their work experience equivalent to that of a student who has done lots of extra curricular + summer/winter internships at the big 4?
Idk im just realy confused, UAC preferences close this week and i am in a serious dilemma

Hey hey!!

1- Absolutely, if you like the sound of the program! It is restrictive, you pretty much can't take any additional placements and as you say, you do need to keep up that academic standard. But anyone who is estimated a 99+ could do it

2- Coop scholars have a 100% employment rate straight out of uni

PS- You don't need to lock in your UAC preferences yet, you can change them for months yet! So no stress, just get a version of them locked in by Friday, but you still have months to consider the pros and cons
