HELP

Hi,

I was wondering if we needed to know Porter's five force analysis, the planning process and the five steps used to create an action plan and implement Lewin's force field analysis. My teacher has been saying that we need to know these area but it doesn't specifically say that we need to on the study design. What do you guys think? Have you learned these concepts?

Although the VCAA Business Management Study Design requires you to, in regards to Porter's theory, only know "the key principles of Porter's Generic strategies (1985), lower cost and differentiation", I would still suggest have some knowledge about the SWOT Analysis, Five Force Analysis and comparing the results of the SWOT and the five force analysis. Although, it is sort of unlikely that VCAA will ask you a question on Porter's in this year Busman exam as it was already asked in the sample exam as a 6 marker and last year's exam as a 5 marker
