The separators where <10% get full marks I'm really struggling to do. Would it be best to ignore these altogether and master the easy to moderate sections of the exam?
Nahh. Definitely give these ones a go. Write something down, so you can get the marks for that. While your idea of getting the easier ones is a good approsch, make sure that you can do these questions make sure they are right and leave a little bit of time for the harder ones. Sometimes, there are harder question parts followed by easier ones. A good example of this is:
Consider a question that has parts a, b, c and d. Say part a and b were some hard parts you didnt know what to do. What i recommend is that you swrite something sensible down, you might still get 1 or 2 marks out of 3 or 4. However, you dont have to move on; read c and d too. See if you can squeeze out some more marks. Doing this can sometimes be the difference between a score you're really happy about and a score you think does not reflect your efforts.
Hope this helps.
