Help is needed for question 9c in particular. I've already done 9a and 9b. I don't quite understand how to work it out with the way in which the question is worded --> "has the choice to omit the entree and/or the dessert course altogether"

If Madison can choose to omit the entree, then for the entree course she has three options from which she can choose: soup, salad, empty plate. Similarly for dessert. Then the method for calculating probabilities is analogous to 9b.
