Hey guys,

I'll be doing Methods 3/4 next year (2019), so I'm planning to buy a study guide and some topic tests/exam styled questions for it.
So which companies do you think make the best products for Methods?
I know Checkpoints, Neap and ExamPro are available for just questions, with A+ and AtarNotes for topic tests+notes, but what do you think are the best?
If any of you guys have experience with multiple of them, can you please let me know how you feel about them.
Also, do you guys know if there are too many questions in the ExamPro books? Because I'm planning to use the topic tests/questions I buy for SAC preparation, and I may not get too much time to prepare.
I'm probably doing Specialist as well, so if you have any advice/experience with that, just let me know!!!

Thanks a load for all your help guys!!!

Heyy!!

I don't do VCE and therefore not Methods but I will still give my 2cents worth.. Personally I found the ATARNotes notes and tests amazing. You can buy the notes for only $25 each! or the topic tests for only $35 each.

I did use excel as well but didn't find them as good..

Trust that helps however not sure exactly for methods.

All the best with it!
So close to the end!!!!
MY SCHEDULE
18th - English P1
19th - English P2
25th - Mathematics
29th - Modern History
30th - Mathematics extension one
2nd - Business Studies
7th - Economics
9th - D&T
10th - DONE!!!
14th - Turn 18!!
15th - green P's!

Hey, I think Checkpoints and AtarNotes are definitely good to do but my advice is to try and consistently do them as you learn each chapter at school. Otherwise, you will not have enough time at the end of the year to worry about these books. Towards the end of the year, it's mainly just practice exams you'll be doing.

Good Luck!

Have you done any/much of the Checkpoints for Methods?
Because I have a friend who says that Checkpoints ain't that good for Methods, apparently their questions are more like the ones in the textbook rather than application/exam styled.
Do you know whether this is true or not (just because I don't want to buy it and then have found out that it isn't as good as I thought it was going to be)?
Thanks a load for your advice though   :D

This really comes down to what you are aiming for an what your abilities are.

For a person aiming above 40 here’s my view, I bought checkpoints and all those support materials thinking I’d use them all the time. In reality I maybe opened them 3 times throughout the year as I simply did not get the time. Your school should provide you with enough past sacs to keep you busy. Plus there’s a plethora of past VCAA exams online which imo was the best practice.

Overall, I would highly highly advise NOT to buy any sort of ‘notes’ resource. Everything you need is available in your textbook.
If you would like extra questions, I’d recommend buying very difficult resources such as exampro.

The thing is, my school refuses to give past SAC's back to students. Because they just reuse them every year (maybe with slight modifications, idk). So I'll never actually get practise SAC's to practice on from my school. So I'm looking to find out whether AtarNotes or ExamPro (or other companies) topic tests/guides are the best to buy.
