How would you approach this?

I never really understood the whole concept of AB=BA=I and how it has any reference to solving these type of questions... If someone could briefly explain the whole scope of what I'm meant to know with these formulas and definitions it would be great!

When a matrix is multiplied by its inverse the resulting matrix will always be the identity matrix (I).
