Access Scholarships 2019

Hello and merry Christmas! I'm wondering what's happening with the Melbourne Access Scholarships, such as whether theyve been sent out. I'm eligible for SEAS in a number of categories and they could genuinely be the difference between going to Uni and not, so since Monash had already offered several I'm eager to here whether or not they've been allocated for UniMelb yet. Thank you!

I’m assuming you’re one of the unlucky ones that has yet to receive notice of whether they’ve been accepted or rejected from Access Melbourne. So far, it seems to still be in the process of being sent out, with many students with multiple SEAS categories having to wait until the new year because most places are closed for the holiday season. (Many single SEAS categories students have received theirs, but many multiple categories students haven’t, as processing takes longer.) Don’t worry. You’re not the only one waiting.

If it’s your preferences that are counting on this, then try to cater to both scenarios. If you have reasonable grounds to assume acceptance into Access Melbourne, then maybe change your preferences accordingly during the early January Change of Preference period. I know that’s not really all that helpful, but that’s as much as I know.

I received a text saying I was being considered, I know I at least fit into the rural category, but I'm above the minimum ATAR without Access Melbourne regardless. I'm more worried about the financial equity scholarships, as regardless of whether UniMelb accepts it or not (which Monash has) I am in a position of financial difficulty to the point where even relocating for uni will be difficult. The access Scholarships said they were rolling out a few days after ATAR, but I did not receive anything.i currently have no access to my number supplied to UniMelb as I am outside the country, and I don't think I can get into talk to anyone of assistance right now. I didn't realise there was another change of preference date, thank you for that!

Ah, sorry about that. Got the wrong stage of the program. Basically I think (and please don’t quote me on this) those Access Melbourne scholarships have not been given out because preferences and offers haven’t been finalised yet. Would recommend being patient and giving the university a couple more weeks to sort things out as, of course, the holiday season means people are having a break. I do hope you receive one in due time though!

Have said on other threads, but the uni is closed for the moment so don't expect to hear anything about this until after January 2nd.
