January 2019 MotM/PotM - Winners Announced!

And just like that, the first month of 2019 is pretty much gone! It’s been an awesome start to the year, with the forum starting to boom in preparation for Term 1 to start. We’ve had awesome guide posted, fantastic answers shared, and lots of good vibes had. We've even welcomed a new honorary moderator, huge! This can only get better as 2019 goes on!

For those that are new, every month we like to recognise two users who have particularly stood out for their contributions, whatever form those may have taken. On top of that, we point to a bunch of instances of amazing individual contributions - Guides, answers, whatever - And encourage our users to highlight anything we missed.

THE NSW WINNER FOR JANUARY IS...

MEERAE! Always love the MotM for the start of a year, because it is almost always a totally new member of the community - That is the case here. meerae joined just before Christmas and posted for the first time this month. In that short time they've accumulated over 50 helpful posts, including helpful answers, guides, and essay feedback. They've already spent nearly 24 hours online in just one month, too bet this will be a huge year for you meerae, congrats!

THE VIC WINNER FOR JANUARY IS...

LM21074! While our NSW winner is a brand new contributor, lm has actually been around for a long time. They first got involved in June 2017. The displayed post count is just a tad deceptive, because their total post count is well over 500; lm is course one of our most prolific contributors in the forum games section. What's impressed us this month though is their super helpful posts like this and this. On top of that, lm is one of the most supportive entities on ATAR Notes; constantly upvoting great content and offering good vibes. This is the stuff which keeps our community ticking <3

I first discovered the forums a while back now when looking for subject selection advice (almost two years ago, say whattt) but I really didn't think I'd be on here at least once daily haha! I think what's kept me on here is the super friendly and wholesome vibes that inspire me to be a better person everyday. I'm incredibly proud to be a part of the AN fam!

Looking forward to contributing more to this amazing community and seeing it grow! Hope y'all have had a great start to 2019 <3

Wow! I literally just woke up to this!

This is so amazing!! I genuinely didn't think I'd be up for anything in my first month!
This community is absolutely amazing, I had been lurking around for year 11 and finally had the guts to make an account and start posting, and wow I'm glad I did!
