VCD - Copyright issues to think abt when designing a book cover?

Hello!

I'm starting to brainstorm some ideas for my SAT folio in VISCOm 3/4. One of the ideas I am thinking of is to do a book cover of a certain book. My question is, if anyone knows, can I use an existing book? I thought that this could be very wrong, but would I be able to do it, say, if i changed 'Harry Potter' to Barry Botter'? Or do I have to right my own book? Any advice in the manner?
