Hi Guys,

When the Aluminium-Air fuel cell is discharging, the anode reaction is: Al(s) + 3OH-(aq) --> Al(OH)3 + 3e-.

What state would the Al(OH)3 be if the electrolyte used for the experiment was KOH(aq). Need urgent reply. Thanks

Also, for the electrolysis of KOH in an Hydrogen-Oxygen Fuel Cell, what would the anode, cathode and overall reactions be if KOH is aqueous. Thanks
