Zarah Yagmur:
What is the best way of creating efficient maths summary notes

jamonwindeyer:
Welcome to the forums Zarah!! ;D to me, especially since you have a reference sheet, a list of results (which is what most people do) is probably a bit redundant. Instead, I'd make palm cards/posters/summary sheets with processes. So, the question type, along with a list of steps to take to solve that question type. Here's an example!

Tangents/Normals to Curves
1. Differentiate function
2. Sub x-coordinate into derivative to get gradient of tangent
3. If getting normal, negative reciprocate the gradient
4. Sub x-coordinate into original to get y-coordinate
5. Plug into point-gradient formula and rearrange

I think having a reference with these processes listed is really helpful ;D

Zarah Yagmur:
Thankyou, really appreciate your help.

Also, with topics like probability I really find it really difficult to understand what a question wants me to do. Do you have any recommendations in becoming better at understanding and solving probability questions?

Practice makes perfect my friend, no shortcuts for something like probability unfortunately!! ;D

Tree diagrams solve 90% of problems. Like, if you are stuck, try drawing a tree diagram. It is my go-to approach for pretty much all probability questions ;D
