I've spoken to my teacher and apparently we're using 3/4 resources because of the overlap of both years, to kind of solidify the information.
I brought up how theres some things in the study guide we're not covering, and my teacher actually said they'll get together the HHD team and start thinking about what we need to cover, (nutrition and allat)

I do have access to the 1/2 textbook online, so on the holidays, I'll make note of what I need to do and self-study from there, I guess.  8)
