Hey guys,
I hope this is the right place to post if not please delete.
Anyways, I'm a student at MHS where the competition is really strong but i was wondering how hard it is to get a 40 in english?
Thanks!

Heyo!
To answer your question, how long is a piece of string? Haha.
As you may or may not know, to get a raw 40 (in any subject), you need to be in approximately the top 9%. Whether or not you deem that difficult is I guess up to you, but some general points:
* Hard as it may be, IMO the best way to put yourself in a good position to get that 40+ is to try to focus on the numbers as little as possible. I fell into the trap a bit of obsessing over my raw SAC marks and stuff like that, when ultimately that time would have been much better used if I focused instead on how to actually improve my work.
* I'd try not to worry too much about your cohort. It may be more competitive to get a high rank, but there are measures in place to ensure this doesn't negatively (or positively) affect you. :)
