What does it take on the further exams for a 40+ ? A+ / A+ ?

Hey guys,

As title asks, what does it take to get into the 40's, or even more particularly, in the middle to high 40's?

I hope it's not something like A+ / A+ on both exams to get above 40, because that would imply simply getting one wrong question on each of the exams (ie - one wrong in exam 1, one wrong in exam 2) and you would already be down a substantial amount from the 50.

Thoughts?

just to add to the above, on practice exam, what scores does one generally need for A and above (ie 45/60?)

Even with A+ for all three GAs (SACs, exam 1 & exam 2), people get under 40 raw. But you can manage with a high A.
Last years A+ cut-offs were 36/40 and 49/60.

I'm guessing those A+'s would have been low A+'s.

Basically if you want mid to high 40's, then the competition is very fierce.  You would need close to, if not, full marks on both exams.  As the original poster said, dropping even just one mark in both exams can be quite devastating to your study score.

That depends on the difficulty, but you wouldn't want to lose more than 2 in exam 1 and 5 in exam 2.

How does that work? Someone I know got A+ SACS, A+ Exam 1, A Exam 2 and got 40-42 scaled

Letter grades cover a number of actual marks. It's better to have all high A+ A+ A than 3 low A+s.
Generally, ~10% get an A+ on exams and 10-20% A+ for SACs. Only 9% of the state get 40+.
