I dont get how they work out question 14 in solution. Can someone pls explain to me ?

If you mean 2009)
 f(x) = tan^-1(x)
f'(x) = 1/1+x^2
f''(x) = -2x/(1+x^2)^2
let f'(x) = f''(x)
-2x = (1+x^2)
x^2+2x+1 = 0
(x+1)^2 = 0
:. x = -1

i dont get question 15 AND 21 as welll.

should it be (answer A) in ques 21 ?

And i dont know why the integral can tell you the y value ?

What integral actually mean ?
