What stationary should I bring and in what form of "material" apparantly pencil cases aren't allowed?
Any other suggestions e.g. water, watch?

If you want to bring water, make sure it is in a clear bottle (ie. no labels on the bottle).

I'm not really sure about the rule on pencil cases, but apparently you're only allowed to bring in a transparent case.  However, for mid-years, I brought in a blue pencil case and the supervisors were cool with that.

- 2 or 3 pencils, make sure they're 2B
- sharpener/spare lead depending on whether you have pencils or pacers
- rubbers

- 2 or 3 pens
- highlighter
- ruler

I didn't bring pencil cases because I was paranoid about them not being allowed - I had all my stationery in one of those clear plastic pockets. Or you can just tie them together with a rubber band.

I second this. Imagine trying to do the multiple choice and realizing that you've lost your eraser. It happened to me in one of my uni exams. Terrible terrible day.

Also, bring more than one pencil. You don't want to spend most of the time sharpening your pencils.
