Setting out inflow/outflow

Again there are a number of different ways people do it and I was curious as to which way to do it. Additionally I wanted to know whether any of these ways are liable to be marked down for some mathematical technicality or other. The way I do it is:

i use the last one...but i first solve inflow and ouflow separately somewhere else
