SAC didn't go according to plan - advice?

Had my English SAC yesterday for Invictus/Ransom and it didn't go very well. I'm feeling really discouraged because I worked very hard and did many practice essays on various topics, yet of course, the 2 topics are very obscure and something I hadn't prepared for.

Obviously I don't know until I get it back, but how do I get over a bad SAC? I feel like everything I had prepared for just went down the drain and yesterday's SAC didn't show my capabilities at all. Has anyone had experience with this?

Take a deep breath, go for a walk, eat your favourite food, and let it go. Realise that mistakes happen and sometimes despite your best efforts, you won't get a great score, but that doesn't mean you can't do even better next time.

You are allowed to feel disappointed but don't let your disappointment stop you from continuing to work to the best of your abilities!
