Subject Dilemma

--- Quote from: Hyugo on February 24, 2020, 08:28:14 pm ---So this year (year 10) I'm doing three 1/2's, which are Methods, Biology and Latin. However, in year 11 I am only allowed to do two 3/4 subjects, and such I have to pause/drop one of the subjects. I know that I definitely want to do Latin 3/4 in year 11 however between Methods and Biology my friends tell me that I should do Biology 3/4 in year 11 and do Methods 3/4 with Specialist 3/4 in year 12. I was originally planning to pause Biology until year 12 but now I'm conflicted and want your guys' opinions on these two things:
1. Is it beneficial to do both maths methods and specialist 3/4 in the same year?
2. Is it a good idea to have a year gap between doing bio 1/2 and 3/4?
--- End quote ---
Well I personally would do Methods and Biology in Year 11, and Latin in Year 12. Curiously, why do you want to do Latin so quickly?

I agree with this. I think you can continuously learn languages from year to year and pausing a year of Latin (I'm assuming you will do 1/2 in y11 again) will most likely boost your score. The other subjects pretty much only rely on the years teaching of the content and I think both are doable in year 11 (I'm doing methods myself :))
