Hey! I'm Tony and welcome to my Year 12 VCE Journey Journal!
In reality, I should have started this journal at the start of the year, but it's whatever. So, in this post, I'll record my events starting from the beginning of the year until now (June 2020), but throughout the thread, I'll add some events that were interesting or things that contributed to my overall results.
A bit of background information, I did
Chinese Second Language as a Unit 3/4 subject and surprisingly, by my prediction, I attained a raw score of 27. Not the best, but also not the worst. This year, I'm undertaking
English, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics (yes, I know, the dreaded Failure Five

). I'll go through my journey journal in months so it's a bit easier for me (and for you to read).
REASONS FOR MY SUBJECT SELECTION
- Chinese Second Language: I didn't have the opportunity to learn about my own background, so picking to do Chinese Second Language as a knowledge base was beneficial to me.
- English: Yeah, I can't say much about this. It's compulsory, lol.
- Chemistry: I was apart of a STEM class in Year 10, which was basically an advanced class that was science-orientated. Chemistry has always been an interesting subject for me.
- Physics: I enjoyed having a mathematical concept being applied to science, so I felt like Physics was the driving force to my desire for maths.
- Mathematical Methods: I desire mathematics.
- Specialist Mathematics: I desire mathematics.
JANUARY
I don't really remember much about January, school wouldn't have started for me anyway. However, I do remember studying ahead for my subjects, especially Chemistry, since that was my weak point in Year 11. January went by pretty fast.
FEBRUARY
We returned to school in February. The 2020 Year 12's. There wasn't much happening in February, but it was the month of my first SAC.
SACs (subject/mood/percentage/thoughts):- English /

/ 73 / The first English SAC was a creative response SAC. I know myself as being an absolute failure when it comes to English, but seeing as I got above 70 for my first SAC, I was satisfied with my mark. Here's to better marks in the future.

MARCH
March was the month of my second SAC. Other than that, it was just any other normal school month, learning content and watching videos on Edrolo.
SACs (subject/mood/percentage/thoughts):- Chemistry /

/ 70 / It was a SAC on the analysis of experimental data. Honestly, I don't know what I thought about this SAC. I lost a lot of marks on analytical stuff and pre-prac values. Some were because of silly mistakes which I've now learnt to avoid. This was a so-so SAC for me.
APRIL
Online learning started around this month and we were supposed to have our Analysing Argument SAC for English but instead we were told to do three (3) tasks during the period of online learning. I received
Medium/High/High for the three tasks. Very happy about that. We were told of a validation task when we got back to the classroom.
MAY
I attended the Virtual Careers Expo and I got some neat information regarding careers and university opportunities from that. We were now on our second month of online learning.
And that's all for now, folks! I hope to update this after the end of every month. Good luck to all of you!
