Is further really competitive?

My friend told me a story of how his brother's friend allegedly got 100% on all further SACs and got 98% on the exam, and subject score was only a 41... which means everyone above the 91st percentile would've been acing literally all their SACs and exams. I knew the subject was somewhat competitive... but THAT competitive?

Hmm yeah I highly doubt that sac/exam score combination for a 41. That would normally yield a 48-49.

possible explanations are that the teacher input lower sac marks or the sacs were super easy and heaps of people in their cohort were scoring 100's.

Did your friend order a statement of study score which says the student's exam scores and raw/scaled sac marks.

No way. I got a higher SS with way worse SAC marks than that. Either someone was exaggerating (you said this happened to 'your friend's brother's friend' - I assume not someone you know personally then?) or their SAC marks went down after moderation. Further *is* competitive (as in, you usually cannot drop a single mark on the exam if you want 50), but not *that* competitive.

Yeah I guess he was either exaggerating his study score/grades, or our school's SACs are hella easy. And considering the fact that I studied for 2 weeks for a methods SAC and still didn't achieve a 90%+ grade, I'd say the former's more plausible lol.

Franky, all subjects are competitive.
