Should I do General/Further with Methods?

I'm currently in yr10 and selecting my subjects for VCE. I am already doing Psych 1/2, and have decided that I want to do English, Bio, Chem, Psych (3/4), and Methods next year. I'm still juggling up options for my 6th subject (as it is required) and since the sciences are apparently pretty hard and content-heavy, I want to choose a subject that I'm pretty comfortable with.

I'm thinking about doing General/Further in conjunction with Methods and I'm wondering if it's a good decision? If not I'm thinking of taking 20th Century History or HHD instead. I've been doing Advanced Maths since yr7 so I do have my advantages; however, I know my limits - I'm definitely not cut out for spesh but I think doing MM and General will be good for my abilities?

Would love to hear any opinions! Thanks  :)

Hello!

I would recommend doing general/further alongside methods with your other VCE subjects. While no subject is going to be easy, further has a pretty light workload compared to your other chosen subjects and is accessible to many people. It would definitely be less content-heavy than history of HHD which are known to have quite high workloads. However, if you are passionate about these subjects go for it!

If you are going to take general/further, you could possibly take it as another early 3/4 (therefore completing two in year 11) as I think it would be doable and also ease your workload for year 12. From personal experience, further is a great 3/4 subject to accelerate as the content is pretty simple all round and the 1/2 is not needed to do well.

Hope this helped!

Thank you so much!
My school only allows for us to accelerate in one subject and so I'm continuing Psych, but I'll definitely do General 1/2 along with methods.
I appreciate the help, thanks again  :)
