Expository essay help

Hiya,

My class just started our research essay and it's in the form of an expository essay, which i have no clue how to write one and my teacher didn't really do a good job at explaining it, so i'm kinda lost  :-\

Can anyone either send me an example of their expository essay or walk me through it? I think this essay is due a week after I post this.
