VTAC and UAC conflicting offer deadlines

Hello! I recently got an offer for a course at UNSW for commerce + compsci but I’m currently waiting for VTAC to see if I can get into Monash. Now, my UNSW offer expires on Jan 4th, or a day near that. What I’m seeing is that VTAC’s first offer round seems to be mid January, past the deadline for UNSW’s offer. Can I accept UNSW’s offer even though I’m waiting? Does that, by any chance, bind me to have to pay anything to UNSW in the case that I withdraw?

You can withdraw without financial implications any time up until census date (in march) so definitely just accept it before it expires and make a decision later.
