How many marks are safe to drop?

Hi all,
Hope everyone is doing pretty well! Currently in general 1/2 and just finished my last SAC. I've averaged about one mark dropped per test, with marks of 98 - 92 - 100 - 98 .(I don't plan on 92 happening again, have improved my study methods.)
If I'm aiming for a 50 or high 40s, at the moment rank 1, with a school median study score of 27, is this ok? Or should I attempt to improve throughout next year?
Cheers,
Logan

Honestly, I wouldn't read too much in 1/2 results. There are plenty of people who don't do well in their 1/2 units and end up acing 3/4 whilst some did really well in 3/4 but couldn't replicate it in the following year.

For a high 40/50 you are basically aiming for 50 given the minor difference between the two, especially in a subject like Further Maths. For a 50 you should really just be aiming to score 100% on everything tbh. You can maybe drop 1 mark on the exam though.

You should definitely keep trying to improve. You will still need to work through next year to secure a high study score.

^Just to add to what Sine said, 100% on the sacs doesn't have to actually be 100% on the sacs. Being rank 1 & getting 100% on the exams is enough because that'll make your sacs get moderated up.
