Good mark still possible

(1/2) > >>

Sadstudent:
Hi, so I had the further exam 1 today and after wards I realised I made sooo many silly mistakes just because I misread the question or thought it said one thing but it didn’t (unfortunately I didn’t have too much time to re-read my answers). I know I can’t change my mark but the disappointment is eating away at me because I should have done so much better. In sacs and prac exams my marks where 1-2 off 100% and now I feel I’ve just ruined any chance I had for doing well. Any tips or advice to get over this?

ME TOO. I'm literally hating myself over it. I hope someone replies soon because I'm in the exact same boat as you

In my opinion (though I am no expert), a good mark is definitely still salvageable. You still have Exam 2 left to go. Try not to dwell too much on your result for Exam 1 as nothing that you do will be able to alter that result. Instead, devote all of your attention to performing well on exam 2. Smash it out of the park and snatch a good study score.

I would recommend that you forget about exam one as you cannot change what has happened.
I would also recommend that you have a look at the last four exam 2’s from 2016 to 2019 which are on the VCAA website in the Further Mathematics past examinations and reports link. I would look at the questions and the actual examination reports which explain clearly each answer to each question.
You don’t have time for much more than that.
Good luck and be positive 👍👍😀😀

you and the person who commented before you have given me so much hope, thank you!!!!!
