99.95 + Raw 50 Methods and Specialist Tutoring

Hi guys, my name is Tom and this year I graduated as dux of Melbourne High School with a 99.95 ATAR, and in 2021 I will be offering individual and small group tutoring for Maths Methods and Specialist Maths.

In 2019 I completed Units 3/4 Methods and obtained a raw 50 study score. This year I’ve continued my studies in Specialist, receiving a raw 50 study score, and also at a university level, averaging 95%. I also plan to continue my studies of maths into the future; however, I believe that beyond a deep knowledge of mathematics, clear and effective communication of the concepts is the most valuable thing I wish to provide.

As a tutor, my goals are to:
• Build a strong understanding of the principles that underpin each subject
• Provide comprehensive notes to guide students through the course (including the areas of study removed in 2020)
• Equip students with the right approach to handling complex questions
• Help cut down on notorious silly mistakes with the techniques I found most helpful
• Increase speed and effectiveness on CAS-active sections with tricks and tips
• Give access to a wide range of resources, including textbooks, worksheets, trial exams and SACs
