Interstate uni experience/online uni?

I'm planning on doing my undergrad degree at Monash and hopefully doing medicine there. however I'm feeling super nervous as an interstate student due to border restrictions + I know some unis have announced they will commence online for now.
to any interstate students from 2020...I'm really confused as to how this works?
