how to be above the average in english

Hi everyone! I used to be a pretty strong English student last year but due to stress/mental health reasons, I think my work quality has been decreasing considerably which is really difficult - I have about three SACs left for the year, and my first two SACs have been about average/a little above average (76.67% - 86.67%). Do you have any tips about staying optimistic (I have experience with bad SAC scores from Biology last year, but I'm not sure whether I'll have the same dedication to elevate these scores) and just generally doing well without sacrificing your mental health/time for other subjects?
