YEAR 12 ENGLISH

Hey! For the summer holidays before the second term of year 12, I would get together a template essay/paragraphs for the text you have studied in term 4. Or if you prefer memorising quotes and writing analysis on the day, then possibly create a quotes table. By the time you get to trials, you will be ahead of other students who may need to prepare for that text from scratch. For example, I did 1984 and wrote 5 paragraphs on different themes over the summer holidays, out of which I can choose 3 on the day of the exam and mould to the question. Remember to mainly relax! Hope it helps :)

Hey,
I would recommend reading all of your texts twice:
- once to understand them better/for background and creating a short summary of each chapter.
- twice to annotate/analyse them more deeply, search up and note down words you don't know used in the texts etc

Hey!!! I've recently started a blog for VCE students where I'll be writing weekly giving FREE advice on how to improve - especially in the holidays - to get a head start and truly improve your writing. If you subscribe - you get emails on your newsletter whenever I post. For context, I got a 45 ss and wrote an ATAR NOTES text guide (7 stages of grieving). Hope that helps, I'd love for anyone to check it out!

You should also be having a good shot at the holiday homework you've been set, as well as getting yourself organised for the main elements of the Units you'll be focused on for the year. You can post your efforts here for feedback.
