if by 6 VCE subjects in year 12 nah you have the option to do 1 3/4 in year 11 if by 6 VCE subjects overall I think yeah but you could always just put zero effort into the subjects that you were gonna drop anyway. If you wanted to do more than 6 subjects theres no point because thats just extra unnecessary workload as only 6 subjects count towards your aggregate

I'm pretty sure you can do any amount of subjects that's 5+

Maybe they'd allow u to a drop a subject in year 12 but i don't think timetabling would be able to fit more than 6 subjects in a year and they don't really let you take 2 3/4s in year 11 apart from the exception of doing a language outside of school and music performance.

Yeah, it's kinda sad how they don't allow that but in a way it makes sense
