Misquoting in Text Response

<< < (2/5) > >>

Insane_Emm:
for Im Not Scared i misquote terribly... put a quote in tht had the same general meaning as the real one but i had one word the same, and tht word was 'the' sooo....

but, i got told tht they dont go looking for what u did wrong. apparently they look at what u did right, and mark it upwards from 0%, giving u points, as opposed to giving u 100% straight away and marking u down on what u did wrong.

SxG:
Through the heat of the moment I also ****in' forgotten to include topic sentences on half of my paragraphs. I dunno whether the English teachers would be impressed by them but I guess it's the clarity of your argument and how clearly and concisely you're bringing across your viewpoint that matters

Insane_Emm:
ohhh crap i forgot topic sentences as welll.... gaaah.
see, i dunno if this site makes me feel better or worse - reading tht ppl did worse than me but KNOWING tht i missed some fairly OBVIOUS things. grrrrr.

melanie.dee:
i had a few iffy quoting moments too, its possible i entirely made up a quote haha

but question, what do you meanyou forgot topic sentences? like how is that possible, isnt it just hte first sentence of your paragraphs.. how did you manage to write a paragraph without a first sentence? lol

SxG:
No, as in my first sentence didn't really definitively state what point I'm making in this paragraph

It was more of a progressive thing where I gradually made my point towards the middle of the paragraph rather than stating it right from the start.
