conc sulfuric acid oxidises a number of non metal species such as carbon, sulfur and phosphorus
eg.
S(S) + 2H2SO4(l) ---> 3SO(g) + 2H20(l)

Oxidising agent = oxidant = sulphuric acid undergoes reduction.

This means that the S in H2SO4 must be reduced from +6 to a lower oxidation number.

An example where this happens is:

Mg (s) + 2H2SO4(aq) --> MgSO4(aq) + SO2 + 2H2O

Where +6 in H2SO4 goes to +4 in SO2

Sulfate --> Sulfur dioxide, elemental sulfur, hydrogen sulfide

depending on what you are fissioning.

fission of hydrogen (or very light nucleus) is highly exothermic, but the activation energy is ridiculous (as you mentioned, >100million degrees)

fission of heavy elements (such as Uranium) is highly endothermic.

fission of uranium is endo? what about nuclear power plants

A reaction you could use in exam for sulfuric acid being used to produce fertiliser

Ca3(PO4)2 (s) + 2H2SO4 (l) + 4H2O(l) ---> Ca(H2PO4)2 (s) + 2CaSO4.2H2O (s) (superphosphate)
