2 quick questions

So we know that when we round off an answer to the correct number of sig figs, we shouldn't use that answer in the following parts of that question right? So we use the more accurate, non rounded answer. But in our working in the parts to follow, should we write down the rounded answer or the more accurate answer? I guess it probably wouldn't matter. But it'd make more sense to show your rounded answer in the working, since it's what you just wrote down in the previous part. However, it would be a little dodgy if you did, if in reality you are plugging in the more accurate value in your actual calculations. So which one is it?

Secondly, do we absolutely need to know specific galvanic cells, like downs cell etc?

I thought the Down's Cell was an electrolytic cell?

lol oops, yes it is, i guess that shows my lack of knowledge regarding specific galvanic/electrolytic cells :P

Specific cells you should have some knowledge of:

Secondary Cells
- Lead-Acid Accumulator

Electrolysis
- Electroplating

Molten electrolysis:
- Downs cell (molten electrolysis of NaCl)
   - Electrolysis of KCl
   - Electrolysis of NaF [these two have basically the same configuration as downs cell)
- Production of Aluminium (from Al2O3)

Concentrated NaCl (brine)
- Diaphragm cell (Products are H2, Cl2, NaCl/NaOH)
- Membrane cell (Products are H2, Cl2, pure NaOH)
