Questions about scholarships

hi guys, i heard Monash awards scholarships on results day ($6000), just wandering does anyone know what is the requitment for this scholarships?, do we need to apply for it or they just call up on that day? does anyone here received the scholarships that im talking about?, and is the scholarship just for the first yr or for every yr in uni??? thanks alot guys

The only application you needed to do was to tick the box in your VTAC application to accept scholarships from Monash. If you have a preference for a course there that offers scholarships (like engineering) and your ENTER is high enough, they will phone you on results day at about 10am notifying you about it.

The $6K/year scholarships last for the length of your course.

Usually these scholarships are taken by the 99.99+ people.  But yes, as Mark said, if you are successful you will get notified by the respective university and if you're lucky enough, you might also get to be on the 6 o'clock news.

EDIT: yea i see the box now lols

O yea do get any scholarships for your 2nd or 3rd preferences if didnt get into frist preference course.?

Well yes, Monash do offer those scholarships as well but to make it onto the news or the paper, they usually have those 99.95 people.  Sorry, typo before.  lol

People doing the HSC, where the top mark is 100.
VCE 2006
PhB (Hons) (Sc), ANU, 2007-2010
MPhil, ANU, 2011-2012
PhD, Princeton, 2012-2017
Research Associate, University College London, 2017-2020
Assistant Professor, University of Virginia, 2020-

i pretty sure the scholarships that awards on results day is for 95+ enter, its a scholarship for gerneral courses with few exception, but it fit most of the course, so basicly if get the offer of the scholarsip on results day, then u will get the scholarship(few exception). my friend got the scholarship last yr on the result day with a enter of 97 point something, but il lost her contact no.. lol maybe i should call up monash to check out

EDIT: and they dont make it onto the news or the paper, they just call up.

DAMN!! just called up Monash and no one know what im talking about! they said i have to get the name of the scholarship then they can help me. "mark_alec" u know what is the name for the scholarship?

I got an SMS on results day from monash offering me a $5000 a year scholarship, and my ENTER was 95.45.
2007-08 VCE - Accounting, Texts & Traditions, Methods, Chem, Physics, Lit
