UMAT is only for year 12's. So if you don't do well in the UMAT, then you'll have to do the GAMSAT if you're really eager.
Otherwise you could try to do the UMAT twice...

UMAT is not only for year 12's. You have to be minumum year 12 to sit it and you can have as many goes as you want. But note that it is the undergraduate medical admissions test meaning you can't have a university degree and apply for med school using the UMAT. If you have an undergrad degree you have to apply for graduate medical school using the GAMSAT.

Ah right. Sorry. But I don't think many people would want to either repeat year 12 or skip a year of university just to do the UMAT again.

Yes, there aren't many, but there are some willing to take a gap year, since they are soo keen to get into med, straight up. :P
