soooooo how did everyone go in their written exams?
What essay topics did u do?
I did the plastic bag one but i had the crappest points :P
Arghh i stuffed up the "yao fan" question too..... wat was the answer to it?

But anywho, after all these years..... CHINESE IS ALL OVER!!!  8-) :) ;D

Btw, anyone doing uni chinese extension next yr at melbourne uni??

I did the plastic bag one too :)
I had like disadvantages: causes pollution and endangers animals
and advantages was like convenient and it's cheap to make/good for business.

according to the dictionary, yao fan is like beggar  :knuppel2:

U had really gd points... mine were so bad :P
in order to get an overall A+ grade for the written exam, wat do u think i need to get outta 75?
U sounded like u did a really gd job!

They mark the oral and written together, so based on last years cut off, you needed 348/400 to get an A+.
( I'm only guessing here but maybe written /75 and oral /25 and they mark each one 3 times? - I'm guessing that since written = 37.5% and oral = 12.5%)

I didn't do too well, wasn't sure about that one the reading and responding in chinese ( 2 questions - 15 marks).
Slacked off all year as well, so I've got shit sacs, probably shit performance on the oral as well.

Lol yea that 15 mark question.... i just practically copied the first paragraph for the first question then copied the second and third paragraphs for the second question :P. All my friends did that too. It was so weird.

Oral i reckon i did pretty well... but i know i got marks off for pronounciation cos i have a cantonese accent. Sacs so far have been okay... not particularly bad but not good either - average around A. 

Its gonna be so hard for me to get over 40 now! i need a 40+ in order to do uni extension. Fail.

and crap. instead of the term - 'pollution'.... i mentioned 'detrimental to the environment'.
i did not mention the word 'pollution' in the whole essay. SHIT.
do u think i will get many marks off?

i thought the exact date was like lunar calendar the 15th of August


The second question , i first thought that i should copy the whole second and third paragraph (i am doing SLA)......i thought it would be weird for an advanced student to do that .......there were 2 main points in each paragraph so i compared the first with first and second with second..............

WOW  so many of u did the plastic bag.....yer i did 5 mins plan and ended up doing the question about that you are a consultant for year 12 student for future career and encourage them to do teaching  haha......................coz i hv not much idea for the plastic bag

lol.. yea the lunar calendar date wasnt on the text hahaha so tricky.. lucky i knew :D\

is SLA and Sl the same exam.. man i feel jibbed :S

yao fan was LOL... i was tryin to convert it to canto.. but no help hahaha lucky dictionary was there :D


i was gonna do hotspots... but remembered i didnt do any practice ones on that...or else it wouldv been a easy essay

Yeah there wasn't a date for SL. Just months.
There was a date for SLA though I think.
