Is this breaking the Code of Conduct?

(1/1)

Hi

I am just wondering, if I or any1 find notes uploaded on another forum....the internet etc, am I allowed to upload on here?

Like, I would think if some1 was to upload stuff on the internet, one would be able to use them to upload on here (that is, they should think about it before they upload). Maybe I have to cite my source? So as to acknowledge?

I ask, because I obviously don't want to do anything not allowed.

Thanks for any clarification on this matter

I think that would probably be up to the person who created the notes, on a case by case basis.

If you can't get their permission then just upload it anyway and acknowledge them in it. It's not like this doesn't already happen with trial exams.

^ oo okay, thats pretty simple. Cool, and u have a point

It's always best to ask for the author(s) permission before you upload any of their work.  It's also a good idea to cite your references and acknowledge that what you uploaded was not written by you.

If for any reason the author(s) do not give you permission, then you are not allowed to upload or circulate it.  However, if it's on a forum and they uploaded it themselves, I don't know why they wouldn't let you circulate it...

If Google is allowed to circulate a link to it, why can't you?
