Do you mean the people who responded to the post?
er...I just meant that it isn't wise to talk about studying three hours hardcore before a SAC
a) because studying hardcore right before a SAC isn't a smart move and
b) because people immediately get a weird inferiority complex and will obviously lash out against you
Honestly you could've avoided the situation if you had said.
"I was really hoping for a 50 in methods because I like the subject and I've worked really hard for it. But I lost 3 marks in my last SAC [which may be an A], after getting close to perfect in other SACs. Probably ranked top 5 in a strong cohort. Can I get a 50?"
If anyone had told you to get a life for saying that then they are saying that high marks = no life which is plain wrong, so no-one would say it. What caused the reaction that you received (not saying it was justified; it was probably due to the aforementioned development of an inferiority complex) was the bit about how you self-taught the course, had a headache etc. etc.
Think about it this way: you had a massive headache and lost 2-3 marks. Many people who are perfectionists/high achievers will identify with that, many others will be saying: what are you complaining about?
The reason I said that it was tactless is because there was no need for the situation to come down to accusations of 'no life' and arrogance. You didn't have to prove to randoms on the internet that you were hard working. If you prove that to yourself and the people that know you best, you should be contented.
If anything in this post annoys you then rest assured it wasn't intended to.
